CORTEX at PHYSOR2018

cortex-horizon-2020-physor2018

The CORTEX project was well represented at the PHYSOR conference which was held on 22-26 April 2016 in Cancun, Mexico. The topic of this year’s edition was “Reactor Physics Paving The Way Towards More Efficient Systems.”

A total of 10 presentations spread over different sessions were given by CORTEX members on matters directly related to CORTEX, although only 2 presentations corresponded to research carried out with CORTEX funding. This allowed to give great visibility to the project which was launched in September 2017.

CORTEX coordinator Christophe Demazières, Chalmers University, gave a presentation which you can download here.

In addition, two papers were submitted:

  • PAPER: Demazière C., Vinai P., Hursin M., Kollias S., and Herb J., Overview of the CORTEX project, Proc. Int. Conf. Physics of Reactors – Reactor Physics paving the way towards more efficient systems (PHYSOR2018), Cancun, Mexico, April 22-26, 2018 (2018) – download
  • PAPER: Olmo-Juan N., Demazière C., Barrachina T., Miró R., and Verdú G., Comparative study of neutron noise calculations using the neutron kinetics code PARCS and the neutron noise simulator CORE SIM, Proc. Int. Conf. Physics of Reactors – Reactor Physics paving the way towards more efficient systems (PHYSOR2018), Cancun, Mexico, April 22-26, 2018 (2018) – download
